To follow-up on our Africa display, we spent some more time researching last week and ordered these AMAZING books about African families, cultures, and history! There is still a lack of representation of this part of the world for sure, but I was so happy to have found these ones to add to our shelves. I’m especially in love with The Night Market by @seinawedlick and @mukodiri 💙 I did make an observation that most of the children’s book representation from Africa comes from Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, and Ghana. Now that I’ve made that discovery, I started a little side mission to find children’s books representing every country in Africa! Let’s see what I can find…
